Betrayal is a Red Flag

Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Sharing personal photos without consent is a betrayal that violates trust in a relationship. Be honest and build confidence that neither of you would do anything to intentionally hurt each other.

No matter the circumstances, betrayal is a violation of trust. This can include:

  • Sabotaging professional or social opportunities

  • Taking and/or sharing personal photos of you without your knowledge or consent

  • Acting like a different person around other people

  • Bad-mouthing you to your friends or peers

  • Lying

  • Purposefully leaving you out of things

  • Cheating on you

There is no room for betrayal in a healthy relationship. Establishing trust and confidence that neither of you would do anything to hurt each other is key!

Our video series, That's What's Healthy, aims to educate people on the red flags of unhealthy relationships that pop up before the behavior escalates into abuse. Visit our YouTube channel or blog for more videos on red flags.
